Halal Chicken Biryani Recipe Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup raisins
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions for Making
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil over high heat. Add the rice to the pot and reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.
- In a separate pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger and sauté until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the chicken to the pan and cook until it is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
- Add the cumin, coriander, garam masala, and turmeric to the pan and stir to combine. Cook for an additional minute.
- Add the frozen peas and raisins to the pan and stir to combine.
- Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
