Islamic Society of Vaughan
Islamic Society of Vaughan (ISV) is a federally incorporated non-profit organization, established on July 28th, 2017. It is managed by an elected Board of Directors, comprising of seven Directors and an Operations Council (Shura) of twelve members. The immediate objectives of ISV are to build a masjid and an Islamic community centre in the City of Vaughan.
Presently, ISV operates on leased premises of about 2,500 square feet, located at Unit 47, 9100 Jane Street. It is located next to Vaughan Mills, a major Retail Outlet Mall in Vaughan. The premises is mainly used for the five daily prayers and Jum’uah prayers for the Sunni Muslim population, and those who work in its neighborhood. It also holds Quranic teaching classes for children ages 6- 14 on weekday evenings and Islamic learning of aqeedah, fiqh and supplications on Sundays.
