First of all, collect the following ingredients:

For Cake

To make one pound cardamom Pound 

  • 2 sticks of softened unsalted butter, plus 1 tablespoon for greasing
  • 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour (about 165 g)
  • One-fourth cup of dried nonfat milk powder (about 35 g)
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar (about 220 g)
  • A three-fourth teaspoon of ground cardamom
  • Half a teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs

For Gulab Jamun Syrup

For Gulab Jamun Syrup

  • 1 cup of water (about 240 mL)
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar (about 220 g)
  • Half a teaspoon of saffron threads
  • 8 slightly crushed cardamom pods
  • cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon of rose water
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh lime juice

For Serving the Cake 

  • 1.5 cups of powdered sugar (about 190 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of optional dried rose petals
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped pistachios

Preparation Method 

Now let’s come to the preparation process. For making the cardamom cake:

  • First of all, preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 10-cup Bundt pan with 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • In a medium bowl, thoroughly whisk the flour and dried non-fat milk powder together.
  • Take a separate large bowl and add cream, softened butter, granulated sugar, and ground cardamom until pale and fluffy using a hand mixer for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add salt and vanilla extract, and stir to combine. Then, add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. 
  • Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just incorporated.
  • Spoon the batter into the prepared bundt pan and tap it gently on the counter 3–5 times to remove any air bubbles.
  • Now place the cake in the oven and bake it for 35–40 minutes
  • Check the consistency of the cake if cooked or not by inserting a toothpick in it. If the toothpick inserted inside comes out clean then the cake is ready. 

Making the Gulab Jamun Syrup

  • Now it is the time to make the gulab jamun sugary syrup. For this follow the below-mentioned steps:
  • Add water, granulated sugar, saffron, slightly crushed cardamom pods, and a cinnamon stick in a small saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat, and then simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and whisk in the rose water and lime juice. 
  • Discard the cinnamon stick and cardamom pods, reserving half a cup of the syrup and set aside.

How to Assemble?

  • Once the cake is done baking, poke holes in the bottom with a fork and pour the remaining syrup over it while still warm. 
  • Allow the cake to rest for 10 minutes before carefully inverting it onto a serving platter.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and reserved syrup to make a glaze. 
  • Pour the glaze over the Bundt cake and sprinkle with the optional dried rose petals and chopped pistachios.

Now this is another method to make gulab jamun cake. For this you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup Semolina (Suji)
  • A few tablespoons of dry fruits 
  • Gulab Jamun pre-mix powder – 1 packet full or 1 cup 
  • Three-fourth cup of sugar 
  • Half a spoon of oil 
  • One or two spoon of rose water
  • One and a half cups of milk
  • Half a teaspoon of baking powder 
  • Half a teaspoon of baking soda
  • Half a tablespoon of cardamom powder

Preparation Method

  • To prepare this cake, first of all, take one cup of semolina and dry fruits and blend them all together in a fine powder, and keep them aside. 
  • Now take a separate bowl and add sugar, oil, milk and a spoon of rose water and mix it.
  • Now add the mixture of suji and dry fruits in it. 
  • Mix it again
  • Add one packet of gulab jamun premix 
  • Add both baking powder and baking soda to it and also half spoon of cardamon powder 
  • Mix all the ingredients well to make a smooth paste. 
  • Now take out the paste in a bowl and bake it for about 40 mins at 180°C. 
  • Check the cake by inserting a toothpick into it.
